OpenTIRF
Project Description
OpenTIRF is a project to develop an open-source Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy system using off-the-shelf optical components. The goal is to create a customizable, low-cost system and establish publicly available protocols that other laboratories can replicate.
Interns work closely with researchers to fully document the process of constructing and operating the OpenTIRF system, including compiling component lists, outlining alignment procedures, and documenting best practices for setup.
