Matern Covariance

Project Description

This library provides fast evaluation of the Matern covariance function and its derivatives, including with respect to the smoothness parameter. Originally developed in Julia, the project aims to provide high-performance routines for R and Python users as well.

Interns contribute to the project by packaging code for R and Python, developing automated testing suites, optimizing current code, and implementing new routines and numerical strategies.
