ALIVE

Project Description

The ALIVE (Advanced Baseline Imager Live Imaging of Vegetated Ecosystems) project estimates variables critical for land surface function, such as carbon dioxide uptake and loss, using geostationary satellite observations and machine learning models in near real time.

Interns help curate code for the project’s GitHub repository and refine coding lessons to teach students and the public about ALIVE’s data products and scientific workflows, particularly using Google Colab examples.
