NASA Cloudmask

Project Description

The NASA Cloudmask project is a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the performance of cloud detection algorithms used in satellite data processing. By improving the memory profile of these algorithms, the project enables more efficient analysis of large-scale satellite datasets. A significant milestone of the project was achieving a reduction in memory usage by over 50% through innovative processing techniques. This work is critical for satellite-based earth observation and climate monitoring.
